We take pride in providing the highest level of information and support for the ACOR list members and websites users. Our goals are to actively pursue this effort, and to provide continual enhancements to our present services. We feel that these improvements will further facilitate the provision and rapid delivery of up-to-date, quality content to the membership. As one of the premier cancer resources on the Web and a recognized leader in the field of electronic medical nformation and support discussion groups , ACOR thrives to continue in pursuit of the high quality services our users deserve.

Listowners, Webmasters & Technology Experts

ACOR , until now, has been able to do what it does because of the volunteer efforts of dozens of listowners, Webmasters, and back-end maintainers. Listowners are cancer survivors, their loved ones and dedicated health professionals. They run the lists because they love to do it and they think it is important. They do not receive a salary. Our technology volunteers are individuals of extraordinary ability who believe in the ACOR mission and generously donate their time and expertise.

Corporate Sponsors and Grant-givers

L-Soft, the premier provider of e-mail solutions for large-scale electronic communication, provides ACOR a Listplex license. This generous sponsorship has, for years, provided us with the most robust email platform that has allowed ACOR to grow very fast.

At ACOR, we want to expand the services that we provide to the public. In order to do this, ACOR is expanding its partnerships with carefully selected government, for-profit, and not-for-profit organizations who share our vision and respect our independence. For example, an educational grant from Anesta Inc., a pharmaceutical company, has allowed ACOR to create Cancer-Pain.org. This site, the first focused solely on cancer pain, aims to provide comprehensive resources for cancer pain.

Similarly, Berlex, has provided ACOR with an educational grant to redesign and improve leukemia.acor.org. the site most used by leukemia patients and their caregivers.

ACOR technology is using state-of-the-art hardware. Anysystem, Inc. provides ACOR with a significant portion of its hardware needs.

ACOR is committed to providing clear and complete information to our users about the nature of our partnerships. For example, you can read the details of ACOR's former partnership with Anesta Inc. at Cancer-Pain Educational Grant.

Individual Contributors

ACOR is also grateful to several individual contributors. We would be happy to speak with you if you have considered a gift to ACOR.

Joint Activities

ACOR is pleased to offer our users current information on clinical trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). This information is provided to ACOR listowners by the Office of Basic Science and passed on to the appropriate ACOR lists.

As ACOR develops other partnerships, details will be posted here.

Current Expansion

ACOR is currently undergoing a major expansion of its website and is planning a significant increase of the services it offers to the end users.
